ha, i'm not that good at freestyle since i only know the foot and neck stall. and i can do the flamingo almost. i'mma start practicing atws, but i want to start off with whichever's easier. so, inside atws or outside atws?
-
I find outside (i know i said inside before but i ment outside  ) easier but others inside ( Sorry to mess it up for you ;))
Try 1 atw each side and which ever you get closest to learn that type, or which feels the easiest
-
there is no easier one. it's all to what you find more comfortable. just try them both and do what you prefer. and if you really wanna know i do outside atw's
-
ok, thanks.
i'll try both and see what the results are.

Hiya -- I'm a beginner too. I chose to learn outside atw's first, learning from footstall and then from juggling. After I'd become *relatively* comfortable with outsides, I tried an inside atw. The first couple of times, it felt pretty odd, but then something clicked and it almost felt *easier* to me, doing the insides. This is all on my strong foot... I still can't manage even a footstall atw on my weak foot.
All in all, it's personal preference. You'll need to learn both anyway, and then consecutive inside/inside, outside/outside, outside/inside, etc etc..., so just pick one and go with that until you're comfy with it. You have to start somewhere! Good luck!

thanks for the advice.
i'm actually closer to learning outside.
-
Then go for it. Remember that if you learn in atw Matw will be easiest to learn first and if out then tatw.

ha, i gotta get a good video camera first. mine sux.
i'll probably get it down in maybe a week, idk. i just need a faster leg.
-
I am finding that the speed of your leg is less important than the accuracy and feel of your touch. Good luck!
-
i think that speed is quite important too, since you have to get your foot around the ball. thanks!

Partly agree. Although i find the speed and strengt in each atw most important when doing consecutive atws. Being accurate with the touch and movement works for me in atw-cross combos but i prefer strengt and speed.

82% agreed -- LOL just kidding... I agree with you, August.
I'm just explaining what's worked for me so far -- trying to add anything I can to the mental concepts/images necessary to really "get" any of these tricks. My ATWs really improved when I kept certain things in mind as I practiced, and accuracy was a good turning-point for me. In no way am I discounting speed or strength -- they're all key to a good ATW. $.02
-
In the beginning I did inside, but then i started doing outside because I thought that was cooler but now i do outside with my strong foot and inside with my weak foot
-
outside looks better
-
i can do inside but not outside but i think theyre the same difficulty so just practice the one you feel most comfortable with and that you think looks the best or even better both
-
OUTSIDE
-
I find outside easier!
-
outside easier for me
-
inside with weak and outside with strong.
-
humm for me the outside comes easier because i use it more and i learned it first, but it depends how much practice u do. coz if u can do the outside , then without practice, the inside one is easy too, and vise a versa. but that is what it is for me, good luck in freestyle m8!
-
The key to atws and latws and even patw is all about technique and getting your foot around the ball as close as you can speed touch and whatnot will come good luck dude i remembery first atw i was pumped :rockit:
-
inside
-
outside for me,though i can do both now
btw whats a flamingo?

-
AW no i think its that bird with really long legs and its pink !
-
outside  but if u like inside just go on
-
I think outside, but when you watch ppl who do a lotta of airmoves they seem to do inside, like those who've done like 80+ like JF, Palle and TG did inside.

No shit! He means a move though obviously its like a flick up something.
-
Inside with strong foot and outside with weak foot
-

-
im an insider becuase i was taugh by JF so i guess i followed what he did but its what eva comes more natural 2 u
-
It depends on what you start practicing. I'd say insides, because I hate outside Latws, lol.
