BUFFON DISMISSES CITY REPORTS
Italy goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has laughed off reports linking him with a 70million euro transfer to Manchester City.
City's new Abu Dhabi-based owners, the United Group for Development and Investment, broke the British transfer record to sign Robinho on deadline day and the chances are more big names will follow when the transfer window opens again in January.
But the Juventus number one, who is currently with the Italy team preparing for Saturday's World Cup qualifier against Cyprus, claims he will not be one of them.
"It's a journalist's fantasy," said Buffon.
"If an offer like that one arrived, I believe Juve would look at the numbers. But I doubt it would ever arrive."
Juve paid Parma £31million for Buffon in 2001 and the 30-year-old is under contract at the Stadio Olimpico until 2013.

I'm happy he's respecting his contract.

city have just begun to be mthrfckrs :cursing:
-
if i was a man city player i would be worried about my job, with all this money theres always someone better than you
-
We should put all this Man City crap into one thread. They don't deserve any better.
On another note, I can't believe Buffon has a contract till 2013. Juventus really went out on that one. You don't usually see such long contracts these days.

@tito: right juves is the della alpi
didn't ronaldinho have a life conract until like 2015 or more

No, his contract ran until 2010. It was initially thought that his contract would be till 2014, but that didn't happen.
-
oh cool
so buffon Officialy has the logest contract in the world
-
In soccer, probably, in every sport, no.
A goalie in the NHL, (Rick DiPietro I believe) has a 15-year contract.
-
WTF? :saywhat:
how old is he now?

I was thinking the same when watching Man City were playin the Blues.
I'm predicting something similar to Real Madrid. Buy all the BEST players in the world and expect trophies. Chelsea are similar, but seem to be smart in their decisions.
Money buys trophies.
