hi i was wondering if i could have any tips for the trick where u have ball in footstall and flick it behind ur standing leg then carry on juggling, or u flick it behind ur back and back over ur head, like murilo used to do.
is it to do with grip or technique?
cos when i try the ball just falls off due to gravity when i move my foot back behind the neutral mark

i can't throw it over my neck but sometimes i can hold the ball back as you are meaning. you should lock it between shin and toes. make sure the ball has grip. and when your leg is sweatty it can be easier too

does this trick have a name? curious -- thanks.
-
its called around the body

It works great when you first that a new ball, if you have about size 8+ feet works even better, (in england, dont know about others)
But its hard to flick it over your head, I can nearly do it tho

Thank you!
I (happily) learned it this morning. I was having the "gravity problem" described previously and found that I overcame the problem two ways... first, get a good clamp against the shin on the footstall (yes, bigger feet helps) and make a subtle spin/pivot on the grounded foot to curl the ball around. Flexing the leg at the knee, like curling the hamstring upwards to add some spin on the ball helped immensely.
Cheers.

Hope this helps -- I decided to skip titles and shit and just put the notes in the video description.
from footstall, clamp the ball tightly against your shin and swing leg outwards and then back behind your standing leg. keep the ball clamped and when your ball-leg crosses your standing leg (behind you), FLEX your leg, like doing a hamstring curl, and then release the ball off your toe, creating some spin. simultaneously, do a slight pivot on your standing foot so that your leg can come around to catch the ball to carry on juggling. sorry for the poor video, it was made in haste.
it helps (a lot) if your shin is a bit sweaty to help the ball stick.

sorry for the double post -- realized earlier that the private youtube vid wasn't visible to anyone but me... so i went vimeo...

lol thats hook 360 invented by Abbas Farid, around the body is where you lift the ball from the back of your body above your neck and carry on juggling.

LOL seems we had a failure to communicate... you were answering the second part of nedved's question when I was asking about the first part... Point is, that's how you do Hook 360, then, which was the part of nedved's question I was curious of. I'll adjust the video title accordingly... thanks for clarifying.
Now the around the body... I figured that one out as well, and it's very similar to hook 360, except the leg goes "outwards and backwards" instead of "flexing behind." Do you need or want a video tutorial for that?
-
yeah man a tutorial would help a lot

around the body? do you mean the eli swirl?

I dunno, bro... seems nobody knows what anybody else is referring to. LOL
Maybe we're referring to an "orange smoothie."

Lemme tell ya -- doing that trick with long pants on makes it 67% harder. At least.
