Which country do you think has the best system and offers the best education?
-
truly Australia.
the only problem is that your whole life depends on one year. year twelve. you fail that your fucked.
-
obviously truly England
you get teh hot teachers!
this topic isnt amazingly good because noone knows very much about each others systems, and their faults -.-
-
its truly not germany  you get the worse teachers in da world and even the best schools have students as intelligent as jessica simpson
-
I've heard international students that are here say that the U.S. system is the best. Don't know how true it is. I suppose its alright. I don't have many complaints
-
I think the US probably has the best "opportunity".
-
I think the US probably has the best "opportunity".
have you BEEN to the U.S lately?
anyhow...it used to be Britain, especially until undergrad, and India has pretty much the same education system as Britain did (but lacks nowadays). For early education (through highschool) I'd say India, then for undergrad, USA/Britain, and for Graduate work, the USA for sure.
-
Asia, because Asian students come here and straight away they are geting higher results than everyone in their class even in English.

You contradicted yourself. :dontknow:
-
I'd say the U.S. as well, look at the statistics for god's sake :P
-
Look at your president man, you education system has failed. You have all failed as a nation. :booty:

No I said Britain used to be good in the earlier stages of educatin (through highschool), which is no longer the case. India is still the way britain used to be for early education, so....
-
Nevermind.
-
asian countries sure do a good job through the early years, but there are definitely institutions in america that many ppl all over the world aspire to.
-

What does Bush have to do with education?
-
as far as early education the u.s. sucks. We baby our youth by not challenging them. I had a Korean friend who said he was doing Algebra in like 3rd or 4th grade. When does the U.S. start teaching Algebra? In public schools its 9th grade (some have pre-algebra crap in 8th). At least that's the way it is in the South. Not sure about other places here. There are programs for accelerated learning, but why don't we just put everyone through that? Damn education system. the upper education is good though. Just takes forever to get to that point
-
i was all over the place during primary and secondary school. i'm glad that i was given the time to pull myself together.
shit, the process of "pulling myself together" has run into "university".
many kids are too fucked up to challenge before "university," IMO.
if someone made me do shit in "high school," i would've exploded.
i know of a lot of dudes whose parents were all over them during "high school" that have fallen apart during "university."
(not that algebra is particularly advanced for a 3-4th grader. i had algebra before 9th grade. i don't think that it put me in a particularly great position, and i feel that i could've done it WAY before i was taught it--wouldn't have done me too much good though)

In cities like Detroit, DC, and especially New Orleans, the early education and public schooling is horrible...absolutely horrible.
As far as Universities go, the US has plenty of great schools and students that could rival that of any nation.

100% agreed.
American Universities are better than most of the other countries'. As for schools: You can join clubs during HS, so if you're into music you can join a music club, if you're into math you can join their club.

What does Bush have to do with education?
Because hes the leader of sheep such as yourself.

He's not the leader, you might wanna learn the constitution before saying crap like that.
-
Why I wouldn't even piss on your crappy constitution.
-
Oh lord Melbourne and Emo not again
-
Why I wouldn't even piss on your crappy constitution.
Cause you try to talk about something you know nothing about. Bush isn't the leader, and he'll be out of the House in a few months.

Ever heard of Pisa? no?
Finland and it's educational system is by far the best, and has been for years..
Can't find any decent site but here are a few lists for ya all, don't know what they all measure but..
Korea got some pretty good results too, but Finland are ranked nr 1 in the overall rankings

I love the 3rd one
Does this include school results only or everything?
-
what do you mean by everything?
-
Colleges, universities, institutes? I mean do those include the school results only?
-
those are some very interesting results.
it's not hard to believe cuz in korea parents are fuckin CRAZY about their children's educations. me, like many others, were forced into countless extra curricular activities, extra classes, extra schooling, and etc. when i moved to canada (4th grade) i'd practically known everything they were teaching me up to about grade 8. and even tho i've never been, i've heard crazy things about korean high schools. they run from morning to midnight :saywhat:
but just for the record, there's a difference between being intelligent, and smart. there's a diff between being knowledgeable and wise.

his power is quite limited actually...if you'd read the constitution, you'd understand. And also, the brains behind the idiocy was Cheney, not Bush.

IS HE OR IS HE NOT THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA ?????

For the Earlier educationas in before University i would say that the best are the Nordic countries (maybe not Sweden ) and a few of the asian countries then for undergraduate prospects i would say probably Britain and for Graduate i would say the U.S.
