This move was 5 star, maddest film ive ever seen, i was shiittt im a SPARTAN now :rockit:
I loved the part when the persian messenger came into Sparta then after awile, King Leonidas threatens the messenger and the messenger is like "This is blasphemy, this is madness" then King Leonidas goes "Madness?....THIS IS SPARTA!!!!" then kicks him down the hole.
I was like shiiittt, damn, how mad
I could name so many more parts but you guys need something to talk about LOL, i was abit dissapointed in the end, how King Leonidas missed the Persian King with the spear, and they all died :bang: :argue:
-
that movie has sky rocketed my interest in kicking someone in a giant hole
-
lol if you think about it, the hole was abit random LOL
In the middle of the road there is this giant neverending hole, one way ticket to china LOL
-

hahaha lol
the movie was cool but i don't think they killed all those people
-
It was obviously a hole lot of shit, more like a comic book.
-
300 was a horrible movie. the producers and director should be ashamed of themselves.
-
300 was a mad movie owen
who cares whether they killed so many or not, its a movie LOL  and a good one at that
Bro wtf is with those elder diformed guys, the ones that get to screw the hot oracle LOL lucky old men lol
-
well its based on a true story. but it was very fictionalised.
-
tonight we dine in hell

I agree, I was thoroughly disappointed after watching it tbh.
-
Downloading it on my other computer, will watch it tonight :)

well its based on a true story. but it was very fictionalised.
it has to be fictionalised to the extreme, the film makers dont know exactly how this whole plot unraveled in real life...they have some clues and such but this movie is pretty much based upon how the crew, themselves, interpreted the war
-
The movie was fantastic, a five star movie for me! Loved it
I watched it just an hour ago btw, this thread made me... erhm.. buy it!
Really liked the ending, too bad Leonidas wasn't able to kill the king

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. nice one. it was based on a comic book. if they wanted to interpret the actual "historical" battle that took place, it would've been a much better movie.

im gonna watch it again rite now

how much do historians actually know about the historic battle, not much, so how would that have made it a better movie

then it wouldn't have been a cheesy movie taken from a bloody comic book.... and maybe the movie makers might have focused on things like story, plot, character development, acting, rather than just a lot of stupid special effects.

is this a joke??? at least give credit to their incredible bodies. and this was also based on true events. the acting was good why plame the director?
-
exactly, the acting was amazing, great storyline, shit ending though
-
300 was the only movie i ever saw in theatres that i actually fell asleep to
random note... it's not exactly a good thing when the battle scenes look like a fuckin video game.
and just because they had body suits that made them look like they had muscles, and just because it was LOOSELY based on true events, doesn't make it a good movie.
-
What makes it a good movie, is whether you enjoyed it alot, obviously if you didnt like the movie you wouldnt consider it a good one, but if your someone like me that thought it was great, then ofcourse i would call it a good movie

better script, better director, better actors, less stupid special fx, a bit easier on the eternal sepia tone of sky, focus more on a good story, plot, characters (all goes into the script part)
i'm not the only one who didn't enjoy this movie. half the population love this movie. and the half that loves movies hate this movie.
-
actually half the population loves this movie, a small fraction dislikes it and the rest havnt seen it

the same kinds of ppl that love this movie also love absolutely anything that's mindless entertainment. just so long as there's big build up and hype through trailers and promos and lots of flashy meaningless special effects.
-
i do see owens point i havnt seen it yet but i cant stand when films involve fiction when it supposed to be based on true events.
people wont probably remember this film in years time.
-
I think the film was more made to entertain rather than explaning a story
-
as owen said, there are people who hate this movie and others that love this movie, what makes the people hate the movie is what makes others love it...so even with all this arguing that has happened in this thread what has come from it- nothing. jono still loves this movie as he should and owen still hates it as he should. we can argue all we want about making this movie better, but if u strongly like this movie u wont change ur mind about it.
