Title: American Freestylers- Competition in Chicago
Post by: JK3r on May 12, 2008, 01:13: PM
Hey all American Freestylers,

there is a competition in Chicago July 5-6 at the Chicago Street Cup. www.chicagostreetcup.com for more info.

Anyone else going to this?  This will be my first competition.

I also will be playing in the street tournament too.

Sounds big. Too bad the American level of freestyle is low.

Yeah, we'll see how it goes.

But the only way to improve the quality of freestyle in America is to expose people to it.  This competition which is also accompanied by a street tournament is designed to do just that.

Thank you.
You're worldclass upper no doubt that doesn't make you a worldclass freestyler. Sorry for using the word good of course you're good aswell as many others but the word I meant to use was worldclass.

But worldclass lower would make you a worldclass freestyler? Honestly, there's only a few freestylers in the U.S. plus Jon Clark, used to freestyle way before a lot of people. Ecuabol and Shenker are worldclass freestylers, at least they were. Other than that, I don't know many other freestylers from around here. But if you put my upper and their lowers together, you'll get a descent level for a country that doesn't play soccer/football.

The fact that lower is more popular is a good answer to your question.
Shenker and Ecuabol used to be legends I remember when I looked up to them.. Time just goes by so quickly..

What's popular isn't always what's best. Mr.Woo isn't worldclass then either?
In their latest videos they didn't do bad, especially Ecuabol.

I'd say live performing is popular and since Woo does that well I indeed do not insinuate he's anything but worldclass

Make sure you have your insurance card on you. Cause you might need a surgery after the shock that you'll experience after i nutmeg you. Just so you know, 4emovek's the best groundmover in the world at the moment. Sit downs too!
