Title: What Are You Saving For?
Post by: manutd. on May 10, 2008, 07:49: AM
Right now I'm saving up for a nice flatscreen TV for my room, and maybe a mini fridge for my room as well.

And obviously some cool games.

What about you?

there is no traditional belt structure in muay thai

a legit brazilian jiu jitsu black belt takes fucking forever

i need to buy some clothes.  though, i probably won't pay for those.

i am looking to get one of these:

its true what you said about the martial arts, a;sdlfkjas;df. However, It is still good to be well enough in command of a martial art to be an advanced belt or ranking before you move on to another one.

yeah.  it's reasonably priced, and i'll be able to get my premium channels from home at school

if i had more money:

what i'll probably get in addition to the slingbox:

Title: Re: What Are You Saving For?

yeh i think borgy has the right idea :)

an emulator (which i have many of) lets you play console games on your computer, with computer keys.
i need a piece of hardware thatll let me play consoles on my tv, and record on my computer :)

ahhhh a capture card i must have been on a blank when i made that post ive contemplated wethr or not to buy one becauswe it would be cool capturing moments in games you've played to show to a friend or making a montage. there around £35 last time i heard about them. also you can configure usb control pads to play any emulators.

what emulators do you have sputnik? ive got a master system and a n64. mario kart and southpark rally  a reason why i failed college.

i have a PS2 emu i havent tested, a Gamecube one that doesnt work with SSBM (though it might with others), an N64 that works with SSB64,  2 Gamboy Advance i use to play pokemon crap (one has a 'link cable' option), and a DS one that i use for pokemon pearl.

and yes thats true, buuuut i cant get ssbm ROM that works, so no point going down the usb controller route :)

The failing economy has hurt Vegas a lot with the declining amount of tourists. Some of the big hotels, such as the Luxor, were giving away their rooms for very cheap. Just find some cheap plane tickets, gather some spending money and you should be set.

Are you sure about that? I was watching something on TV that was talking about Vegas not being impacted. People want to get away from the economic situations so they head to Vegas, blah, blah.

At the Luxor average size rooms were going for about $80 a night...usually they go for atleast two times that. Then again, this was early May when I saw these prices so maybe things have changed.
