Title: La Liga 12/13
Post by: redsforlife on Nov 06, 2012, 04:17: AM
Post all La Liga talk on this thread.

Missed this thread as well as many others.

Anyways, Barca is running away with it and I suppose La Liga won't be followed unless people tune in for the Barca vs Madrid games.

Athletico is special though.  Would be interesting if they finished second in the league.  Falcao is most certainly leaving soon, but with the way Athletico brings up start strikers, they'll just find another one in a few months.

There's no such team as Athletico. :embarrassed:

it sucks that Barca is taking the title, Real is not even close..though i think Real will end second. It's been a while since Real Madrid or Barca has finished the league under top 3. That's what makes it so boring to follow the spanish league, there is kinda only 2 opportunities for who is taking the title.

He deserved it. At this point, the best player in the world. Gained more than 90 goals is an amazing feat.

I'm hearing the Best 11 team was made of all Barca and Real players.  Is this true?

Bloody hell, so all La Liga.

Let's list some names that should've been on there instead.  Can someone start with the team they chose then we can figure out who should be in there instead?  I doubt only La Liga players deserve to be on there.

Honestly, not many. Most of them deserve it. Arguably, RVP, Ibrahimovic, and Suarez at least this season could have made it. Ibrahimovic would have been my choice. Buffon instead of Casillas, but Iker was sick for both Spain and Real Madrid.

Madness! Alonso is the best player of his position in the world. I'd actually be more inclined to replace Xavi with Pirlo, but that's extremely tough as well. The thing is this the top 11 players by position in the world, so it's pretty much supposed to be the very best player for their position in the world. It's really hard to pick out just one player for each position.

Mata doesn't even get to play much for the Spanish national team if that tells you anything. Good player, but not on the elite level.

Alonso is a bit overrated if you ask me.  It's not even a question who's better between him and Xavi.

Interesting article about what's unfolding at Madrid with Mourinho.  Seems the senior players want out if Mourinho stays another year.

I'm completely pissed off about Neymar leaving Santos, but it was made official Monday that he has joined Barcelona. Now, he will destroy La Liga proving his brilliance. Doubters, you only have this summer left to claim he isn't really that good. After this summer, :suicide:. It was nice knowing ya. :great:

Real Madrid captain Iker Casillas has revealed that he intends to stay at the club until at least the end of his contract following his starring role in securing a 2-2 draw at Juventus in the Champions League... I will see out my Madrid contract

I bet he wants to... he's never gonna get a big contract like that again.  He's an above average keeper but definitely not someone that should be paid like the best one around.
