Title: my RBSS battle + riddle challenge
Post by: Christof on Jul 14, 2012, 08:30: PM
here's a funny thing to do:

1. watch my rbss quarterfinal battle
2. try to guess the judges decisions
3. read the video description and realize that you got 80% wrong

After seeing it twice i  :iagree: with you. His first round was very good, but after that he just dropped it soo often and on such easy tricks. Tbh he only did easy tricks.. While you landed some harder things. + you did sits he just did some push-ups with neckstall :p.

First part of your extra round went bad but look at his extra round. Fail atw, 5 htw combo broken 4 times, some styleball  and third time the push-up thing.

And to be fair I would have given him 0 points after that diss + drop he did in round 1 :p.

ok, what i want to say is that, you should be more hard with yourself, and not to discuss when you did a lot of mistakes.. i know the other guy did bad too.. but try to not discuss and improve for the next time.

That was just a advice, you are free to do what you want man.

4. Act like we actually care about you rant over losing a battle where you didn't manage to show you're better than a complete noob and showed zero energy.  :great:

i already expected a negative comment when i saw you left one, but not such a senseless one...
the criteria were neither speed nor flow (i assume this is what you mean by energy), and you can't say it's bad style or bad control just because my style is "slow" (like most tall freestylers).

I mean if you compare Azun's style to TF's, you can say TF is much more energetic, but just because Azun's style is slower, i'd say it looks more controlled, and i personally like it more (ok, this is subjective, but still)

And don't argue now i can't compare myself to Azun, that was not the point of this example.

btw don't most freestylers say Palle's style is the best of all (or at least used to)?

it's not about the speed
it's about getting into the groove of the battle
you need to connect your moves and use more transitions
just like artes (oleynikart)
he has generally slowish moves but puts a lot of variation and uses a lot of transitions making his performance a whole lot more enjoyable to watch
you really need to flow in a battle, show as much as possible in those few seconds.

I think in the extra round you should have won, the guy did the neck thing like 5 times
