I'm telling you... anything can happen in this group!
Don't count Ukraine and Sweden out. I actually think one of these sides will squeeze in ahead of England. Mark my words!
Lampard is out for England. :13:
-
I think england will make it. France however. I expect ukraine to get something done.

Ukraine looked brilliant against Germany a few months ago. They were very effective on the counter attack. They have serious pace on that team.
-
France and Sweden to progress. Will be absolutely great to see England going home early.

England dealt Cahill blow
England defender Gary Cahill has been ruled out of Euro 2012 after suffering a double fracture of his jaw.
-----------------------
Real shame... especially if you saw it happen. Stupid Belgium player pushed Cahill into Hart and caused the injury. I actually feel bad for Cahill on this one... didn't deserve that. :(

FYI: They replaced Cahill with Kelly. What a joke! How do you overlook Micah Richards and Rio? :043:
-
To be honest, I was quite surprised Rio was not picked in the squad.

England continues to be a joke from whichever angle you look at it. :embarrassed:
-
Say England doesn't take one of the top 2 spots, who is more likely to go through... Ukraine or Sweden?
I'm leaning Ukraine in all of my predictions. What ya'll think? Sweden is solid and Zlatan is playing well for them. :017:
-
France vs England is the first match. What a great way to kick off the group. :celebrate:
-
England got lucky. Just defended all game and got lucky on one set piece. France were far better, and they should have won. Not the end of the world for either team, but I was really wanting France to win against England.
-
Lightning has put the first game on hold. How annoying. :015:
-
yeah, i was just looking forward to it...
-
whats with those blue shirts from england? Ugly as hell :p

Could you make the English attractive? That's a hard job. Quit blaming the kit man.
-
France wins 2-0 today! Allez Les Bleus! England is losing to Sweden. Early trip home haha. Good times.
-
shit spoke to soon.....
-
Yeah england on 3-2 now!! ecxiting match

Way to jinx it bro. :13:
Now we have to put up with England some more. Come on Ukraine... beat those dirty English scums! :character0029:
-
I think Ukraine will beat them. England might have just found a strike partnership that works, and they will now screw it up by introducing Rooney. They won't score, and Sheva will find his space and punish them. We go home happy :)
-
I think England and France will advance together...but to be honest, it would be a little sad if both the host-nations got knocked out
-
I would love to see ukraine and France go trough. Or at least a goal or 2 for Sheva
-
Huge games today! I have a few dollars on England so they better not let me down

Sweden vs France (Euro 2012) Super Goal of Ibrahimovic (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xZK-iLHiZSs#)
Best goal until now in the comp?
-
yeh zlatan's goal was probably the best so far. But zlatan does this every week in Serie A. His technique is flawless.
The goal the by the Poland right winger vs Russia was nice too. And Gomez' goal where he spins while collecting the pass and sent the keeper the wrong way with the shot.
-
Ibra chose to do something when it didn't matter. Nice goal though... best of the tournament so far.
England won against Ukraine but they looked terrible once again. This reminds me of Chelsea... getting completely outplayed but hanging in there and winning. England's goal was quite lucky, taking 3 bounces before getting to a wide open Rooney.
On the other end, Ukraine had attempts but nothing that great. Their two best chances were actually offsides that weren't called. They should've finished those two, no doubt.
Also, the goal that was called off was a bad call. The ball clearly crossed the line. Another case for replays.
England somehow won this group. In every match they looked like they were playing Spain. I'm sure the English are happy but only because they are winning. Fans will take any type of football as long as their team manages to win.
England is still terrible. I hope they somehow squeeze past Italy so Germany can spank them 4-1 in the semi final.
-
Looks like Sepp Blatter wants to start using replays after the missed goal in the Ukraine - England game. Funny how he desperately wants the use of replays now, but when Lampard's shot wasn't called a goal against Germany at the World Cup, he said it was just part of the game.
-
English fans think that is good football. That's how they want it to be played, because that's how half the Prem plays. England should get beat by Italy, but they have one advantage from this point on. Every team they play from now on(unless somehow Greece beats Germany) is going to be much better. They can stick to their tactics of sitting back and defending than looking to counter or score on set pieces.
So pissed about the France game. Reminded me of the Greece x Russia game, but France was lucky enough to qualify despite the loss. Frances inability to finish chances really worries me. They easily had the better of the chances and possession against Sweden, but Sweden had Ibra pull off a ridiculous goal and a goal scored while France was throwing people forward.
Sepp Blatter is ridiculous. He will never say anything that makes sense. How on Earth he became the FIFA President is beyond me. I really hope someone else gets the position soon.
-
How come they can't take down Sepp? Why is he still around? I don't understand how the electing system works for that position. It's like the head of the NBA... everyone hates him but he's been at it for 30 years for some reason.
-
At least there is an election in FIFA even if it's either corrupt or done by a group of people that don't really care about the football issues, but only the financial issues. Stern most likely will be the NBA commissioner for the rest of his life or until he retires.
