Mourinho is probably going to stock the midfield with 5 and play like chelsea did against barca in the UCL. Madrid only need a draw. A win is not necessary so i doubt Mourinho will take any risks.

I usually like madrid to attack but i think in this situation i would be happy if madrid play defensively. I'm not feeling too confident about this one though :021:

Who's playing at home for this one?

I think Madrid will play it pretty even if it's at home for the first 30 minutes, then they will wear out like always and lose.

... and Madrid wins for once.  I think this is only the 2nd time Mourinho has beaten Barca in 12 tries.

Pretty good game, both teams were fired up and ran like crazy all game.

Pep made some bad decisions though.  How you gonna play Tello and not Alexis Sanchez?  Had Alexis been in, they would've converted 2-3 chances that Tello simply wasted.

Alexis had a slight injury so he could not start.

Yeh i agree if Alexis or Villa played then Barca would have won. Madrid were lucky they were injured haha.

But Guardiola is mad to play a 3-man defence vs madrid. He showed madrid no respect with that attacking line-up and paid the price.

This makes no sense to me.  You either play him or you don't.  If he's got an injury, then he shouldn't play at all.  Right?

What 3 man defense? Wasn't it...

Alves - Pique - Masherano - Adriano

They played a 4-3-3.

alves was pushed very high up. He didn't have any defensive duties at all.

Anyway, in other news the sevilla vs levante match was scheduled to play after el clasico. But the FA delayed it for 30 minutes because they wanted to extend the post-match interviews and tv analysis on el clasico because those parts get high tv ratings too.

The fans started protesting and had a big sign up saying "stop the match, mourinho is talking"

I think that is unfair. The fans were kept waiting because of tv revenue for a next match. And most of that extra revenue goes to the FA and madrid and barca.

And funny thing is that madrid play vs sevilla in the next la liga match :043:

Puyol, not Pique

Thanks for the correction, Christof.

jabarinho, yeah, you're right.  He was playing high up and they did seem to play more of a 3 man defense.

Not sure what Pep was doing in the last two games.  It obviously cost them the season.

As far as the Sevilla vs Levante match is concerned, that's quite annoying and sad.  They should have done a split screen thing or tried to incorporate the two games somehow.  That's how every other league does it.  In Spain, it's a little different.  Not only is it a huge game, but Real and Barca take the majority of the TV revenue money.  No other league does that either.  The split is much more even to keep the competition healthy.  How does La Liga expect 3-18 to stay competitive in the league and Europe when they pay Barca and Madrid 75% of the TV revenue.  A joke.
