I don't find any of the categories most difficult, it's the practicing in general. They take a lot of time and there is so much variety nowadays that mastering everything is full day job :)

Agree with Palgis post, and I also think it depends on what trick you should do, some tricks are really safe and I don' have to think about the touch, and some are not;P

the first touch has always been a problem for me, speed shouldn't really be one. its a beginners excuse for not being able to learn latw...I used that excuse a lot  :lol_hitting:

i think the touch... in general the technique and to "understand" a trick is the most important imo

The hardest thing in lowers is to be able to do every trick you know after every trick you know so you're not restricted/forced to do a certain trick after whatever trick you do.

The main thing imo is proper control & technique doing the combos.

well if's between touch and speed i would actually say touch is possibly a bit tougher to train however speed will take longer to gain (assuming you had a perfect 50:50 ratio between the two in your training)

with speed you simply cannot fast track - the tendons/ligaments/muscles all have to adjust, become more flexible etc to increase speed and there is a limit on how quickly they can adjust...e.g i think it's impossible to have the speed in your legs to do a 3 revolution trick in less than 6-8 months of freestyle (i'd love to be proved wrong here)

with touch, you can train it and gain a good touch on both feet i think within a few months (that is, perfect control/balance of both feet) assuming you were only to train your touch...as for endurance, that's another matter!

Very difficult to compare i think overall, i would say the hardest thing in lowers is to be a perfect allrounder in lowers! (skora, ars, mp, becs) - i mean ability to do long combos, long nt combos, 3 revs, ahm/aht etc!

Great post, Ethan.  I was wondering about the speed issue.  I didn't know if it was something you could gain, or if it's just a matter of naturally being quick.

Well i haven't done any long combos, but i think 25% touch and 75% speed, cause when first touch is kinda messy you can make it back with quick speed. For example when it's 50/50 and the first touch is messy, you could not make it back.

Sorry, but not true. Once you get to harder tricks you know touch is more important...

form/fitness/stamina i think
for a fat cunt like me a good touch and decent speed land you nowhere (specially combos) because after a 10 trick combo your gasping for air. this is only for me though and for anyone else who has good ball cotroll and technique but who is unfit.   :49:

Welcome to the forum!  You dug up an old thread, but that's OK.  We'll forgive you this one time.
