Messi meets a girl at the club, brings her home to his house and the girl goes to the bathroom. When she comes back, there are 3 men in the bed. The girl is shocked and asks Messi "what's going on?"
....Messi replies: "I can't perform without Xavi and Iniesta"

lol I think Mikael posted that on facebook. It's a good one. :great:

madrid joke
do you really believe messi looks good only with xavi and iniesta?

:lol_hitting: :lol_hitting:
Royal got offended.... He would still be sick as hell, but yes without the whole team behind him he wouldn't be THAT good.

Old one but still performs, kinda like AC Milan's lineup.

madrid joke

well he plays better for barca than argentina. Without iniesta and xavi he seems to lack the same potency  Hala Madrid!

Messi has scored 2 hattricks in last two games without Xavi and Iniesta even playing.

yeh playing against mallorca, which is one of the worst teams in la liga this year, and against a very small, unknown team victorai plzen.
......but still messi is great no doubt

Football is obviously a team game, so you can't tell "Messi wouldn't score half he does if there is no Iniesta and/or Xavi". It is the point of the game: working as a team, as one mind. Barcelona is an perfect example for that. And for the Real players: the 70% of the lineup are individual players, they get tired as fuck at the end of the season. Cristiano wants to score more and more goals, while Messi thinks for the whole team. Messi won more competitions than Cristiano did. Why? Because Messi doesn't shoot at every 19-25 m distance from the goal, he searches for the rest of the team in a good position to score, because if someone else scores, he scores for the whole team. More goals = victory, more victory = 1st place.
My post is a bit confusing, isn't it?

I'm a Milan fan since 2001, the joke doesn't offend me, but makes me sad. They should invest more in young teams and 17-24 players transfer.

Yup, you got it spot on with the team shout as far as Barca is concerned. Same goes with your comment on Madrid being about individuals rather than the team. Mourinho plays the ugly football as well which doesn't allow the team to connect as much. Madrid has too many individual players though (Ramos, Ronaldo, Benzema, Marcelo). I can only think of one on Barca - Alves.

Adi, can you tell me which part of madrid's football is ugly?
Marko, the reason messi won more trophies than ronaldo is because he plays for a better team, not because "he doesn't shoot at every 19-25 m distance from the goal"
Since i am a madrid fan i may not be as objective about this topic as someone else but in my opinion madrid players are not individualisitic. Madrid players may not have the same vision for a pass that xavi, iniesta and messi have but that does not make them individualistic. Also, very often messi runs 50 yards without passing.
I cannot count the number of times i see ronaldo shoot and someone else scores from the rebound. Shooting and dribbling is where his strength lies. The reason he does not pass very often is because he is not good at it. Also, the way ronaldo helps out defensively for madrid is very good.

It's a very direct style of football especially for Spanish standards. Mourinho has them defending and countering whenever they play a stronger team. They do control many games, but not in the posession oriented way other top teams do - Bayern, Arsenal, Barcelona, United.
Madrid reminds me a lot of the way Chelsea is playing right now.
-
yeh madrid's style is similar to chelsea. Its a kinda english style, like man city too. But that is not ugly man. It is end-to-end exciting and fast-paced football. Sometimes ramos, alonso or pepe play long passes, but only if the option is there. It is never aimless long passes.
It takes certain type of players to play possession football. A lot of movement and interchanging positions and the barca midfielders work very hard to win the ball back quickly and constantly make runs in the box to support messi. And arsenal are very often ineffective with their beautiful short passing. So playing possession football style does not mean arsenal or barca have more teamwork than madrid. Madrid defend AS A TEAM and counter-attack AS A TEAM.
Also playing against the stronger teams madrid have always attacked and scored many goals. Look at the games vs milan, lyon and tottenham. Exciting! Madrid only play defensive when playing vs barca.......because barca are amazing.

Yeah, I exaggerated a little when I called it ugly and boring. Just giving them a hard time since they have so much damn talent. They should be a joy to watch, but that's not always the case... at least not for me.
