Hey guys i want some answers please because this injury is kinda fucked up and it is an obstacle to improve the way i want. Well, I have heard some guys had similar problems even in my small county there is another fs with this problem, so it's kinda common maybe. Well the problem is with my juggling, of course i juggled pretty easily and had mastered it lol ;d but for like 5 months i had this very strange problem my strong(left) foot suddenly started to have strange touch and constantly dropped the ball i thought it was just a minor problem which will disappear but unhappily it began to worse and some days i can't even juggle properly. Strangely i can still practise combos with htw, hatw, atw but for example tricks like ahmatw, alatw, amatw are kinda fucked up because they need a good straight touch and it's hard to get. Please guys who had that problem to write in this topic. This is ruining my improvement, i cant do good looking lps and in live competitions i suck pls it' s very important for me to answer. :bf:
-
I remember you saying in the 'sudden juggling problem' thread that you were going to see a doctor. Did you go......and what did the doctor say? Also, there was a lot of good advice in that previous thread. Maybe you could try some of those tips, good luck :)
-
i go to the doctor nothing wrong they said i also tried to rest and do some exercises nothing worked thanks for replying anyway
-
Wait, is there a problem with an injury to your foot or your technique with the foot? Kinda confusing in the post.
-
More the technique i don't feel any pain at all i kinda get used to that wrong touch and not i just can't remember how was the calm juggling pff this sucks anyway i know some guys like blasej had that problem hope they reply how they get on with it.
-
Before freestyling, maybe you should juggle like 10-20 mins. Do you sleep normally - might be reflexes too when your tired?
-
nah juggling makes it worse it can't be of overtiring i think because i rest like a week and didn't help i will visit an ortopeditian next week so i'll see if it's inner problem.
-
even i am facing the same problem if u get any solution please let me know :bf:
-
how is yours what problems do you face it seems to vary from person to person mine got in the worse state these days so i kinda gave up lowers till i understand what's that i seem to fail on the first strong foot juggle(injured one) so it's kinda irritating
-
my right foot suddenly started to have strange touch to when the ball lands on the foot it becomes kind of weak it has no power and the ankle twist and constantly dropped the ball when i am about to do a trick in which i have to kick the ball straight the ankle part twist it does not pain before everything was fine i didn't had such feelings everything was normal
i found one way just to get rid of these
now days i am trying to bend my knees a lot during juggling
this problem is going away little little :bf:
-
yeah my problem is absolutely the same i had a period during these 5 months when everything was fine i kinda get used to it and i thought it will go away but like before 1 month it started again so this kinda sucks
-
y don't u just bend you knees hardcore while juggling and while doing the tricks tht might help u it is helping me a little bit :vict
-
yeah that helped me before and i kinda get used to it but now this is impossible
-
yeah that is there but there is no other way also to get rid of that problem
-
There should be. Have you been to the doctor?
-
no
and i wont be visiting any doctor
but i am trying my best to figure out the solution for this
-
if you solve it and you get rid it of completely, please share the solution ;d
-
stef, did you use to juggle the ball with your toes? I mean, the 'injuried' leg toes. If yes, try to juggle with the laces part, but like the inner part of it. That's what worked for me. At first it looked kinda weird but after I got used to this it looked perfectly normal, and I could do the juggling with no problem using this technique. After some months I was also able to juggle with the toes again, but I got used to the other technique :D If this doesn't work for you, try some other technique, just try to add some little changes to your technique and that may help a lot. Also, when you sit in front of a computer, try to sit in a healthy way, straight and not on your backbone. Cause sitting (or should I say laying? lol) on my backbone with my legs to the side caused the injury I think. good luck! hope I helped
-
yeah maybe some fucked up position caused this. Anyway, yes i juggled with my toes and i tried the laces part the inner but it's fucking impossible to get used to it btw how long has your injury last mine has been for around 5-6 months now and do you think a break for like 1 month will improve it(i will train sits though) and also do you think it's some health problem i mean something i have to visit the doctor for(which i will maybe do) thanks for sharing your info blazej
-
hmmm my injury lasted for like 7 months? maybe more, during the last 1-2 months of the injury I was trying to find out a new and good technique working for me. So you just have to find yours. And by kicking the ball with the inner part of the shoelaces area I mean this part of the laces:
and I think this injury was caused by damaging some nerve in the backbone. Sitting on the backbone could cause it.
-
So you think this will not be permanent because i had kinda given up for sure i will try this juggling technique hope i can juggle back to normal the new year thanks for replying and btw when you juggle with the laces when you did htws back then did you hit it with the toes or the lace part i think i don't have problem with htws though a little strange is.
-
Blazej nice tip i will work on that
hope that works out :bf:
-
before the injury while doing htws I always hit the ball with the toes, during and after the injury I did the same.
-
nothing is working out man :bawling:
the problem still exist
-
yup me too shit injury even with the juggling blazej told i still have this problem maybe i don't try hard but this is shit thing to get used to.
-
stefs did u visited the doctor
-
yeah ortopeditian said nothing was wrong next week i'm visiting neurolog. Hope he can find the problem. Will you visit a doctor too i mean in my country doctors are not on high level maybe if you go too we can share experience if you find this problem that disturbing of course
-
yes i will be visiting one doctor

Mine was my knee injury (fluid) I got it when I was 13, playing soccer/football. Doctors told me to rest it for 4-6 months, NO sport. But I was playing at a high level and there was no way I was resting for half a year so I fucked up myself by going out 3 weeks later... It's never been the same since. I'm actully right footed but now my left is my stronger foot becuase of this injury, Life fucking sucks at times, But I'm very happy with the level I've acheived so far and I'm only going to get better :)

Reynoldz it's not about power of the leg yours i think it's different anyway now i'm pretty sure is a nerve which was fucked up and don't send certain signals to the leg.
-
Im pretty sure this jas something to do with the muscle next to ur shin..i think i have jad the same experience before after i pulle that particular muscle..im pretty sure theres a nerve that passes through..it was impossible to juggle and thr ball just used to drop..anyway..hope iv been of some help

Lol man absolutely in the same place i feel weakness so that must be the same or something similar so are you ok now? Monday is the day i'm to the neurologist though
-
yeah it used to happen because when i play football i have this different method of striking the ball on the run..think i used to pull or stretch that particular muscle because whenever i tried to fs after football i just couldnt...thankfully it used to last only for a day..im pretty sure its a nerve passing through that muscle..yeah i doubt its an injury to be worried about..how long has it been happening for
-
pff about 5 months lol ;d
-
correction: you should probably be worried.Tell me what the doc says
-
stefs did u visited the doctor what did he say
-
i should get some permission from my gp it's a liitle strange policy but this way i will get a free visit tomorrow will do that and hope this week i visit it
-
Surajemo how's your injury. I went to neurologian he said my most important nerves are alright but it can be caused by some smaller less important nerves so i was assigned for 12th December full observation of my nerves, etc btw in that time take that medicaments it's gonna be helpful for faster recovery if it's nerve problem lol ;d - milgamma N
-
my injury is still there
i cant get rid of it
-
I had a knee injury on my right leg for 1 year. Doctors had no idea what it was but I had enough pain not to do any advanced tricks (like latw) anymore with my right foot for a year. Then I started realizing that my left(yes, the other side) touch on atw was not as it was before. I used to be very fluent at it but it suddenly dissapeared :s Incredibly annoying. I couldn't do left atws in combos anymore and I had sooo much trouble to get just 3 atws in a row. Before my injury I could easily do 20 left atws in a row and combine them a lot in my combos. The touch was lost before I realized it :(
I truely believe that getting the touch back was/is much harder than learning the trick initially. I practiced my left atws every now and then during every freestyle session. It's not that I fully focused on getting the touch back. But it definitely took me more than half a year of practice to get at least the touch and a better movement back. Still today, it's not yet as how it was 3 years ago...
I'd say don't give up. Practice is still the key to get your touch back. I know how frustrating it is and many months I thought I'd never get back the good touch. After months without improvement, suddenly it can get better real quick. I've experienced it. Good luck!
-
hey thomas thanks for the reply it's good to hear it from you but this is not touch related and it's not improved through training this is more like a problem which just doesn't allow you to juggle correctly it's hard to explain
-

Ok, I just quickly read some posts and thought it was similar to my problem, my bad ^^
But still I want to repeat that my problem also didn't improve with practice over a period of 5 months at least.
Like I said, I felt like I would have the problem forever. Perhaps you're thinking the same as I did although it is possible to get back to normal juggling...
Or I could be wrong again because I didn't read the whole topic ;)
-
Yup for now it seems impossible for this injury to become better and i'm looking at it very negatively still i am going to a doctor at 12th of December hope he knows what;s the problem
-
i agree with thomas.
sometimes you think you are not learning, but your body is learning itself.
i remember when i was learning htw. After 1.5 months of hard practise, i was consistent at 4 and managed 10 less than 5 times for those 6 weeks. but continued practising only to end up frustrated. then i had to take a 1 month break for exams
A month later when i returned to practise i got to 20+ within a week (weird) and got consistent at 10+ in 10 days into training. Also htw came natural to me in long combos from then.
The only way i can sum up is that your body learns on its on when you practise hard even if it doesnt click in your head. A little patience and change of mental environment can then change a lot of things :)

Hey bro,I have the same problem, when i juggle the ball and the ball goes to my left leg,my leg goes slightly to the left and i cant continue juggling and the ball falls.I feel that i have no power to left my leg when the ball approachess it.I've had this problem since October 2010 so more than a year ago and it still didnt improve,I dont want to put your hopes down or anything but tbh I felt your pain and anger in your posts cuz I had the experience of what you're going through. I wish that someday my juggling would come back to normal although I gave up many times, even I quit for more than half a year. Good luck with your injury and I hope everyone that suffers from it will get cured including myself.
Peace.
-
Balshii u got any solution for it even i am facing the same problem
-
Sorry bro I don't,if I did I would've posted it :/
But as Blazej previously said,I changed my juggling style and started juggling from the laces,It's 'a bit' better but its harder to do airmoves that way since the ball goes higher while juggling.
-
i was to the doctor today he diagnosed he found some things that are not right and they are connected with N. Fibularis sin. some muscle tissues connected with this nerve ;d Although I really don't know if this is causing this problem it will be best maybe to explain this to a doctor dealing with nerves and mention this nerve and if you have the same issue connected with it please write this will mean this is the right injury Thanks a lot hope you write soon. I will try now to lead a more active life and do some exercises for the legs to help me improve - i think this is good
-
what are the exercises can u share it
-
some random the doctor said nothing about any exercises, today i was given some medicines to take for 1 month and after that if i see any improvement i will take them until i recover fully, if i don't see any improvement, the diagnosis had nothing to do with this injury which sucks
