Title: Painting FS-Shoes

I was thinking about painting some freestyle-shoes like the adidas adi-novas (the white-black version) in completely white so I got a nice plain look which would look pretty cool in my opinion. Has any of you guys experience in painting FS-shoes? Is the feeling getting different because of the colour? How should I paint them correctly so I don't lose the normal leather feeling/touch in combos? Edding or some wall color e.g.? Would be awesome if you guys could help me out with this. ;-)

There's so many types of paint but you can't use any plastic based paint of course. I've dropped wall paint on my clothes and it made it pretty stiff. I have a splotch of ceiling paint on my boots and it dried very lightly, almost like it's not there...but I don't see it covering black with less than two thick coats. That's all I know about paint, so you can rule out those 3 types lol

Post by: BigMac on Sep 26, 2011, 08:29: AM: I did it when I was like 11, I had a pair of puma's that were torn to bits and I wasn't allowed a new pair so I took my lord of the rings figurines paint ( lol ) and painted over the bits that I wanted and I was really pleased with it, however it didn't look too good for that long.

He does, on the other hand, do it (very) successfully with plain canvas shoes:
