Title: What will happen to Arsenal?
Post by: Christof on Aug 23, 2011, 08:29: AM
Fabregas gone, Nasri too... I am very concered about Arsenal, i love to watch their games but they didn't do too good last seasons already. My top for teams (not favourite, but quality) in EPL used to be ManU, Chelsea, Arsenal and ManCity, i watched all the games between two of these teams, but i doubt that Arsenal can keep up with them now, i don't think RvP will stay much longer, Arshavin has been totally out of form for a long time.

I hope so much that they pass Udinese, otherwise this team needs a very long time to recover.

anyone likes the new arsenal? or are they still average? Wenger just went on a deadline day spending spree and bought benayoun, park-chu young, andre santos, mertesacker and arteta.

I think they are still average  .....slightly better but still not good enough.

Agreed. Not good enough for top 4 anymore.

Mertesacker just went through 2 terrible years in Germany. He's still young, but being big and kinda slow will be a bigger liability in England than in Germany. English teams play the highest defensive line which will leave Mertesacker exposed in behind him. I still hope he does well.

Arteta will help with possession but they still won't crack top 4 I don't think.

Like last year, arsenal seemed to be flopping at the beginning then they will come back up the next half of the year.
although I'm a united fan, I love arsenal football too. They play entertaining, fast-paced football, keeping the premier league spirit alive. I hope they do well and I want them to beat man city, chelsea, and liverpool in the ranks this season.
