Ibrahimovic helped Milan to win the Scudetto last season with 14 goals, but Gattuso claims that a player of his class should be getting at least twice that number.

"Someone like Ibra in Italy should score 30 goals a season," Gattuso told La Gazzetta dello Sport. "For a player of his quality, he scores too little."

AC Milan won the Super Cup or whatever it's called.

Bayern lost it's first game... at home... to Monchengladbach.

Dortmund played a beautiful game against Hamburg and easily won 3-1.  Gotze is almost world class and Germany might just win the EURO 2012.  Spain Germany final for sure if they don't draw each other prior to that.

Apparently the start of la liga will be delayed by 2 weeks cause players have decided to strike. I dont really understand the reason though. Something about unpaid wages and small clubs in debt or something i dunno :017: I have not had much time to read about it yet.

Seems the economic trouble in Spain is even affecting football. I hope this is a false alarm like the planned strike for tv revenue distribution, cause i really missed la liga this summer.

Looking forward to Serie A returning too. Milan and Inter look good and even Juventus loos good with Vucenic and Pirlo etc

Barcelona vs Real Madrdi - 2nd leg this Wednesday of the Super Cup.

2-2 in the first game... very good game.  Looked much more than just a pre-season game.

Ibra threatened Guardiola

Former Barcelona striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic claimed he would beat up coach Pep Guardiola if he did not get a move to AC Milan, according to the club's corporate vice-president Carles Vilarrubi.

Barcelona drew again this weekend while Madrid won 7-1.  Ronaldo is on a scoring tear again.

What's happening with Barcelona?  They aren't as perfect as last season. :017:

Helmes exiled to reserves

Quote
Former Germany international Patrick Helmes has been expelled from Wolfsburg's first team and sent to train with the reserves after disappointing defensive work, coach Felix Magath said on Thursday.

"I have decided to release him for the amateur team," coach Felix Magath told reporters. "His strong points are scoring and converting his chances. These are not the qualities that we have to push to the forefront right now.

"He has not learned to do defensive work. At this moment he can be of no help to us," said Magath, known for his tough training and discipline regime.

In September Magath forced Helmes, who has scored two league goals this season for the former champions, to train alone for a week to catch up on his fitness.

Classic Magath!

sounds like a type of coach who likes to use one player as an example to the rest of team. So everyone knows who is boss and to who to fear

This management style does not work. Im not saying he should be a soft pushover but there must be a balance between being firm and being fair.

This guy is crazy about his fitness. Most players hate his ass. He does this type of shit all the time. Maybe not exactly this but he loves to go crazy.

Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben believes that the groin problem he suffered in October is the worst injury he's suffered in his entire career.

Robben, 27, has had surgery to correct his troublesome groin but admits the injury caused him more pain than any others before.

"I've had my fair share of injuries, but I've never experienced something like this. This was the worst injury in my life," Robben said to Bild. "It's impossible to imagine how bad it was. I had a lot of pain and the recovery process was very hard."

"I'm obviously looking forward to the game [Bayern's Bundesliga encounter with Borussia Dortmund] and to making my comeback. I can hardly wait for the match to take place. However, we don't want to risk anything by rushing my comeback."

Looking forward to having Arjen back! :13:

Fucking Dortmund beat Bayern 1-0 today in Munich.

Sucks not having Schweinsteiger but we still outplayed them and should've won.  Ref was terrible.

Yeah, Miran told me the result. I really can't believe. What was the lineup without Schweinsteiger?

We played Gustavo and Kroos in the middle with Muller above them in the ACM position.

Fucking hell!  So annoyed by the result.  We are still in first though and now it's a little more interesting so it's all good.
