Discuss the match here. What does everyone think?
The Champions League hasn't been as exciting as usual this season, but this match has everything for a classic final.
I'm predicting a 2-1 Barcelona win in extra time.

I think united and barca are evenly matched but i picked barca because they have this small guy who plays forward. What's his name again? :017: ......Oh yeh lionel messi 'El messiah' 'the little magician' :040:
But ferguson is a great tactician and i know he has an elaborate plan up his sleeve to try to win this one. I expect barca's game plan to be simple though: get the effing ball to messi, lol.
Oh and those of you expecting an exciting match will be dissapointed because i expect fergie to have the same game plan as mourinho and try to stiffle messi, xavi and iniesta. What do you expect, it is the champ league :015:......but i hope im wrong though.

probably best game in football for 2 years ;D will be pretty equal game, both teams are capable to move the moon, barca maybe holding ball a little more . but hard to predict cause sir ferguson is... well sir ferguson.

Can't wait for this one. I think Barcelona will win, because they are so good, 90% of the passes is perfect, when u look Barca's game, it is just
eye relaxing, and Messi and Iniesta are amazing players, they work together very good. But on the other side, UTD is great team, master class coach and Rooney. But my prediction is Barcelona 2:1 Manchester UTD. :great:

I love both teams.

i can't pick a side , but i guess i'm going for Barca they have a better chance of winning.

Its gonna be a hard game for both team, but lets take the fan goggles of and lets pretend that we are not united fans for some seconds.
Barca is up to date the best team, probably ever, in the world.
They have a team concisting of really strong players wich are fully capable of keeping the ball posetion 75-25 on every team in the world.
United can't do this, but they have a very strong team aswell and are very good on counter attacking if needed.
Barca has several individual players that can make the day look brighter in a second.With this i mean messi passing through 5 guys and finnish it or xavi and iniestas assist wich can pretty much come out of nowhere.
United are always depending on the team to perform. ofc they have rooney, giggs and hernandez, but in the end its always a team working goal.
Barca has a better team allround than united.
United may have better players in some positions.
I think the most gonna be happening through the center midfield wich united weakest link. Barca gonna tear who ever plays that position.
United key to this game in my opinion is counter atticking game with trying to use nani or valencia to challange on the side.
I think for united to attack will be stupid seing they will loose the center midfield, barca is to strong there.
United best chance in my opinion is to play 4-5-1, that is beacuse they will have enough power in the midle to stop the creative way of xavi,iniesta and messi lurking alitle bit down to start something. They stop them, pass the ball directly to the sides and attack.
This is just my opinion.
My guess barca will win 2-0

I think Barca are clear favorite here but it should be a close one.

Gonna suck for whoever has to try to stop Messi.
Should be interesting to see who Fergi plays in the final. Formation and players wise. Up front you have Berba, Rooney, Hernandez. Midfield is always changing and Park might start for all we know.
Should be good, it is the CL final after all

i love how messi looked out of sorts for most of the match then pops up out of nowhere and BOOM!! :040: Even though van der sar's positioning was not the best.
Anyways, congrats to barca, they are worthy champiions. Manutd played a decent game but were outclassed just a bit. I wonder for how many years this barca team are going to dominate for......the current squad they have is legendary. I wonder if guardiola will stay :017: but if he leaves this team will still dominate.

It's a pity ManU didn't get a better bite at barcas arse... i was expecting this game to be colorful because of tactical geniuses, but now it just went as everyone predicted :(

Like I say... this is the best team of all time. Maybe I haven't watched the game prior to the 90s but damn, nobody was this dominating. Even the classic Madrid teams in the 90s filled with stars weren't this good and dominating.

Friend of mine said today that barca is only this good because of the players... I partially agree, but doesn't almost every top team have very good players? I think it was guardeola's work behind barcas awseomeness... :017:

well i think it is the whole system of operation at barca which gives them success. That perfect blend of superstars and youth team products. But i have to give guardiola credit as well because when he decided to bring back pique from manutd i was confused but he proved me wrong because pique has been awesome.
Also, when he decided to give messi a more central role i was double confused because i thought messi would be too lightweight for it. But he proved me double wrong :embarrassed: because messi has been unstoppable in the center.
Also i remember that barca team in 2005 and 2006 dominating with ronaldinho and with Frank Rjikaard as coach so i do not think guardiola is the main reason. But credit where credit is due, the decision to put messi in the center was genious :PDT_Armataz_01_37:

Both sides are very good. But I like Barcelona. Barcelona now perhaps not the most beautiful, but it is the most efficient, because there is no any defect on the run, like a high-speed operation of the machine, each component is the top, do not pay attention to how powerful individuals, as long as Embedded systems and play.
