Did you know that you can give reputation and view the reputation others leave you?
To give or remove reputation, click the 'heart' image under the users avatar on the left. It looks like this: (http://www.beyondfootball.com/forum/Themes/outline_1111/images/karma.gif). You can select if you like or dislike the post. This will add more reputation bars ((http://www.beyondfootball.com/forum/Themes/outline_1111/images/karmaGood_basic.gif)) to the member's account.
The amount of points the members receives depends on the giver's reputation. If you have a high reputation, your 'like' will count as more than someone with less rep.
You also build up your reputation by making posts and creating new threads. If you create a new thread, you receive more points than making a simple posts.
You can view the reputation (with comments) that you have given and received under your Profile. Click the 'profile' button at the top, then click on 'View Reputation' on the left side.
Have fun!

I have reputation of 5 i see, but when i go to my profile it says that my reputation is 294?!
-
Ugh, not sure about this. I think it may have something to do with our previous Karma. I will take a look at this and get back to you.
-
why i am a forum noob .. now?

Check General Chat for the new status updates - you need more posts to get a higher status.

OK, I figured this out... you need to divide your profile reputation by 50 for your Reputation Power. That's just how I have it setup. Rather have smaller numbers that are easier to go by. Yours is 294/50=5.88.
You power up (5 in your case, 84 in mine) for every 50 points you earn through posts, new threads, etc.

no need for that language big boy.
Answer: the fact that you use 'fuck' in your post proves that reputation is a big deal for you :)
-
More people care about it than you think. You should have seen the attention karma system got before.
-
ook sorry for the language , but i don`t understand the importantion of reputation on a forum... the reputation on a freestyle football forum should be based on skill.

I don't think it has any merit behind it. It's kinda like commenting 'first' on videos.

It gives credit to those that are active and good contributors on the forum. It doesn't have anything to do with your freestyle ability, rather it deals with your contribution on the forum.
The more quality posts you have the higher your rep will be. I find it useful. Those with high activity should have something for their contribution.

Is there a bug in rep system or why 753/50=15,06 doesn't match my rep of 10? Not that I care that much for my "reputation", but I just spot these kind of things, and then they start to disturb me... :embarrassed:

I upped it, it didn't seem to fix it though.

It's a strange system with different points for levels. It's working, just a complex system. I might look into simplifying it.
Remember the old Karma system?

Well that explains it :D Mind sharing the complex system? :)

Check my post on the first page somewhere. I tried to explain it a little.

This is your post, method is simple, but it doesn't work?

I changed the number from 50 to 75 since that post, so divide it by 75 and you should have the right number. :13:
