Oh my f!cking god.  :sign0065: :sign0065:
What an insane freestyler.
Although one question keeps coming up when I watch Tokura's videos: why doesn't he do any uppers? I mean he's sick even without them, but they can only help his style.

his sits are just... omg.
really sick transitions. I loved his air combos too. They look great mixed with those "unusual" moves.
he's one of my favorite fsers for sure

First off, you just said "to do lowers", not which are famous for their lower ability and that's something different, so make up your mind first. Plus, there are just a few freestylers (out of a hundred) from Japan who are actually known outside of Japan. ;)

Second, like in every other country (even in France), most freestylers in Japan are lower oriented, whether it's the "classic" or the "footbag/blocking" style, but the thing is that out of over a hundred freestylers in Japan, you know how many, 10? And of course, what someone, in this case - you, defines as lowers, because many freestylers don't see the other styles that I mentioned as doing lowers...

Finally, some airmovers from Japan (apart from Tokura) - G, Yu-J, Umi, Tsukasa, Kazane, Ra-menman, Kohei, etc.

These are just a few from the top of my head, since I don't know them all by hear and I'm in a bit of a hurry to search for more, but maybe Pedro can add some names.

lol Miran - he is not a lower fser - he is crossover anal clown - in my arrogant opinion - but i agree - there are good lowers in japan apart from tokura

@Khoa - he doesn't do uppers - because uppers are for suicidal pussies who don't know how to practice lowers
...

this video - is so insane - i loved it so much
i loved the lowers, sits, clutches - every single second of this video - my fav fser in japan
oh god lets hope he wont be hurt by the earthquakes or godzilla

did you miss the 'few' i wrote in my first post. If all you could do without searching was name 7(only you knew) , then its not such a strong reply man. My post compared dominant japanese style vs lowers, there could be a billion lower guys in japan but the dominant style in japan is not lowers and tokura does both styles.
i know you know a lot about japan doesnt mean you put people down. but my post was meant to appreciate that tokura is probably the most known lower freestyler present in japan.
and L_I_S, i still would be able to sleep at night :)

well miran you say yourself that there are over 100 freestylers in japan and you can name only 7 who do airmoves, so imo tbc is still right... there are only a few who can do airmoves.

insane video i loved it so much. sits are unique and lowers are stylish as fuck“!

hopefully! I advised him to works his physical ability . I've seen Yamato latest video, he's on great physical shape, much  higher than 2 month ago in Tokyo...can't wait!

what do u mean? imo tokuras difficulty of transition and acrobatique moves is higher than yamatos...

He was referring to Tokura working on his endurance so he doesn't get cramps like in the qualifiers. :)

@tbc (& Max): Yes, 7 was the all I could come up at the time and I wrote why. Also, there are about or over a hundred of them in Japan, but not even half of them can be actually found on sites like YT, so it's not the same as finding freestylers from Poland or Russia for example. Plus, those which I mentioned are the ones that do mainstream lowers.

Just go watch some JP meets (jams) and you'll see what I'm talking about.

In the end, I'd just like to add that I wasn't trying to put you down, but it bugs me when I see stereotypical comments/opinions that are caused by the lack of knowledge about the actual subject/scene (a good example is: France = S3).

True. If you wanna win a WFSLeague competition, not only you have a high technical level, but also you have to handle several back to back battles.
When you get tired, your technical ability is hurt, your start to mess up and lose the ball...that what happened to Tokura last time.
Freestyle is a sport, ok then, any WFSLeague winner will have to be in great physical shape.
We'll see that next event in Osaka.

Yamato, Yosshi, Yosuke...most of teh qualified in Tokyo are coming to see who will be part of the Nagoya final. Its not only enjoying a freestyle event, but study your future competitors too !
I think its good ! we want that to happen!
