I didnt feel a difference when I made the transition...they might have better grip on the ball though

You'll mostly notice a difference with your cleats depending on what kind of fields you play on.

blades because for me they grip the ball better and you can feel it more

Been researching this and have read a lot of bad reports about blades, they caused a lot of bad cuts and theres a theory your more likely to get a twisting injury with them.
Looks like I'll be taking my addidas absolions back and getting some traditional 6 stud boots

It all depends on the surface. No point in having metal studs if you are going to play in Texas over the summer. I only used metal studs once for practice, so I don't even know the real difference.

chip, I'm merging this thread with your other one. No need to have to threads that are pretty much the same.

my coach (ex-international player) says that studs are better because of the stability
the guy at the sports store said it didnt make a difference
but it seems like all the new boots have blades anyway
i have blades atm and they feel pretty good

in my opinion blases/moulds are better..bladed boots are usually lighter allowing yu 2 run faster and yu get better control of the ball..the best boots that have blades/moulds are Nike Mercurials..i have metal studs and moulds..studs for soft ground and blades/moulds for hard ground..

cant go wrong with studs ive had both traditionally good shoes have studs. and i also read that people that wear blades have more ankle injuries.
