looks great only bad thing is theyre not covering the freestylers' expenses, thats gonna make it very difficult to get 16 people
-
yes that means polish guys can visit the competition ......loan a 2 year s worth salary and compete :)
-
This seems impossible without expenses being paid unless they hold it in europe.
-
pffff this proves more then ever how impressive lucasos work was for prague : respect
-
Good to see that "The King on England" has finally the guts to stand up and defend he`s words.
pallur
-
I dont think it will work out well... hope they prove me wrong
-
this is too expensive, come on, im a poor freestyler
-
I honestly don't see this working out very well and I just hope this doesn't turn out to be a mediocre competition after which we'll have another self-proclaimed "world champion" for the next 4-5 years, lol.
There aren't many freestylers who either have a sponsor to cover their trip or have enough money of their own, so their idea of everyone covering their own expenses wasn't thought through very well, IMO. It's an invitation only competition for 16 freestylers in the Middle East, so they should've dealt with this better.
They basically copied the whole idea behind RBSS system and rule wise, which I find very lame and the fact that JF's not competing (again) is also lame. :Woot_Emoticon:
Also, Pyrzyce is in March too, so I think many freestylers will turn to that competition, instead of this one.
-
i do not understand who is " proclamed himself world champion for 4 or 5 years.."

isn't Red Bull having a copyright on this system, or am I misinformed? Why holding this in Abu Dhabi?!?! Come on, do it somewhere in Europe and then you should be able to pay the expenses for every freestyler.....
-
yeah, this is kinda sad for this big potential event, for me looks like the list of freestylers is made up of the people who are able to or willing to spend this much money.
anyways some big pros will be there surely.
but do we have to expect a very expensive show now because its in abu dhabi? if it was in amsterdam for example the expenses for all freestylers would be significant less i suppose

If you wanna quote, then quote it to the letter. I was talking about JF, he won the last "World championship".

I don't know about the RB system, but as I got told, the competition is in Abu Dhabi because that's where the sponsor's from. It's not Samsung International, but the regional Samsung that's sponsoring the competition.
-
ja of course its because of financial aspects that its in abu dhabi. so i expect something big, when they think its worth to do it there and not be able to back up a lil bit the freestylers with the massive costs?

Trust me, not many freestylers from that list have enough sum of money to pay for flight etc
-
nah, i meant the final list of the 16 competitors, sry ;)
-
i wonder why they call it World Chapiomship?
-
Stupid.
-
i guess im one of the guys that is ''supposed to be able to go'' ....but to be honest : im not . Way to expensive !!!!!
-
If they call this shit as a world championship I'm gonna call Pyrzyce as a universe championship.

Shouldn't Monta finance trips like these (to big/important competitions) for you guys?
-
The organisers have no sense, They should have decreased the cash prize which is huge to provide money for transport and hotels, at least for the top 5 freestylers or so

Ohh my bad, I forgot about the most important category
-
Fucking retards.
They think they are going to get anywhere without paying for the expenses.
I guess they are just trying to get attention around the Middle Eastern area.

The cash prize is huge? Well imo it is ridiculously small...... its meant to be the world championships and samsung are involved and only 5000 euros for first when you have to pay for everything.....that is tiny imo.

I agree. Teen skate competitions are around 2-3k. The prize is small for a WORLD COMPETITION of anything..
-
I am personally against cash prizes... in my opinion it just kills the real spirit of these competitions and makes from players creatures willing to go through death to win... anyway I would expect more from company like MOTG than these bull shits... dont know what does this mean but one thing I know:
PRAGUE WILL KILL IT!!!

Yes and no ....in a setup like prague money will defo kill the spirit.
But motg has a completely different atmosphere......its a competition , not a meeting.its a Business and it should get big prizes i imo.

And how do you expect freestylers to earn money? It's a competition, not a picnic...

What I meant is whats the point of giving cash prizes when most of the big names in freestyle arent able to make it because its expensive

So... will there be sandwiches? or? im confused what are we supposed to eat?

I see that Azun and sean are the 2 pre-invited freestylers
