so name a few freestylers for each year, just so we can all see who has made a big impact....
im going to think about it, and get back to youuuuu lol....
start from the year you started if it was after 2004

skora- pushing limits
the japanese freestyler whose name i cant spell right
tf- video editting and age factor in freestyle
luki- uppers and battles
Azun fx rocco becs - lowers
michryc tycza- the whole 360 and heel freestyle
indi - freestyle in girls (its a maybe)
ars mp mirko gunther- carrying on lowers
sean - style/dance
JF JK- lps
hunmett linde- video editting
dantheman lucaso - meets
i hate to say this but lynch and billy for having views on youtube whhich introduces people to fs.
turlakov - uppers
i could be wrong and i m sure there are more.. time will tell!

speaking from my own experience i have only started in 2008, but for me these made big impacts in the years
2008 - sean (won rbss), fx azun becs and rocco took lowers to a new level
2009 - oli cherek, michryc, arthur mansilla and some others came with massive improvement
2010, andrew henderson, MP, mirko domy gunther, turlakov, lucaso with prague, these all made massive impacts on freestyle

Oli - Was insanly active, he talked to all freestylers on the planet, did a huge ammount of post here on BF, and I think also on NAS.. arranged internet-competitions etc etc (2007-2008)

When Luki released that video with a super high level in uppers, I think that changed the uppers world drastically.

what about 4elovek (emo/mikael)? his uppers influenced my style a lot.

yeah, we were really active those days.. mitchy was a legend, nobody came with a similar style till now, 0% spin ..

Hmm dont know about the older years! like 2004-2005 etc as i only started fs in the begening of 2009! but for me it is DAN THE MANNN! the guy came from nothing to an INSANE,KICKASS, CREATIVE ,HARDCORE Freestyler and organizing the biggest Freestyle meet in the world! So Yeah! Also for me TOM FOLAN KILLING IT WITH HIS NEW VIDEO! Boooom! These Guys ROCK! :You_Rock_Emoticon:

i began freestyle in 2008 so i can tell from there xD
i really think this guys make a real difference in freestyle this 3 years:
2008 -
Séan - change the way of how freetyle "must" be practiced
2009 -
Oli Cherek - (even if i dont like him) he proved that hardwork can make a really big difference in the sport, and im pretty sure lot of freestylers were inspired by him, even if they were better than him
2010 -
Luki - Created love for hardcore uppers showing a sick vid, with some coll stuff but sick uppers (Jak taka ryba)

Make freestylers put interest in groudmoves
Michryc - he was really famous in freestyle scene before i beggin practicing freestyle, he showed some sick vids since 2007 (i think?) but in 2010 he changed the way of how hardcore lowers was seen... he finally pulled out the perfect combination between innovation and regular hardcore stuff in 2010. In2009 few were the freestylers who can do 360 atw, now i think lots of freestylers can do that trick in combos... im pretty sure about 90% of that freestylers were inspired by Michryc... hes a really cool guy also :P
Italian Crew: Mirko, Guther, and DomyBD -
skora were the first one who did some sick lower stuff, skora was really allrounded ( in terms of lower tricks, he can do almost all the lower tricks), but this 3 guys are sick in just 2-3 moves.... but i think they really pulled hardcore lowers to the next level....
in my opnion, the next real legend of freestyle must be a guy how can do all the stuff of this 6 guys... some guys like MP, ARS, etc are really sick, but they arent complete freestylers...
who will be the next legend?? who can develop flow(sean), innovation (michryc), hardcoreness (allround sits, uppers, lowers, grounds) and spetialiated in few tricks (domydb, mirko, gunther), and all this stuff perfect mixed like michryc mixed creativity with lowers... sorry for my bad english xD

@LIS i think the likes of TF Mettz and Linde's editing HAS made a big impact on Freestyle, we no longer are satisfied with shitty little videos with bad quality and stuff, it has transformed freestyle to a point where many people are higly skilled video editors and we are witnessing MASTERPIECES in terms of entertaining videos because of this.. i think editing has indeed transformed the internet-based side of freestyle

Big impact on the video quality of freestyle, not the quality of the actual freestyle. So no, not really.

TF/Gunther - Bringing on atatw/tatw styles rather than the more popular amatw style. Inspiring many others (including myself) to follow the same path.
Rocco - Taking eatw onto another level
DomyBD/Tobias - Taking patw onto another level
Matte Linder - Style on sits inspired many others
Abdullah - (although I really hated him in Amsterdam) pretty much created sits
Luki/Turlakov - Trning uppers into somehing that wasn't just a thing you used in LPs and made it a much more respected part of freestyle
John Farnworth and Andrew Henderson - LP performing
MichRyc/Mikolaj/Tycza - Takig 350/heel stuff on to another level
TF/Linde - Editin videos wih such quality and making the videos more inspirational
Mettz - For creating ATF
Oli - Showing true dedication to freestyle.

Big impact on the video quality of freestyle, not the quality of the actual freestyle. So no, not really.
nobody mentioned this, the topic says "Impact ON FREESTYLE" this means freestyle as a whole, and since freestyle is completely reliable on the internet and videos (coz thats how you watch others freestyling), the insane limits pushed in editing has indeed impacted freestyle as a whole

2006 - NAS Times
-Touzani's video was old there, but who cares!
-I just could not believe when I first saw Palle doing LATW, then He did PATW :O
-I clearly remember skora doing SATW - AMATW (yes.. no "NTS") and it was FREAK
-Clyde's style was the best so far
-Murilo and his kinda sick videos and style oO
-Ecuabol kicking some asses
