Title: Re: Forgoten players
Post by: manutd. on Mar 29, 2008, 02:51: PM
Yeah, but Moby thinks all United legends are crap, and Scholsey is one of them, so I was stressing the fact.

I think all the players that play in Holland are forgotten, and there are some good ones..

Evra is good, when he attacks, you'd think he plays wing.

Riquelme has not been forgotten. melbourne can't stop speaking about his ass on the forum.

Sagnol has had a knee injury and has not fully recovered. He plays every now and then and doesn't do that well for us anymore. I still hope he comes back to 100% sometime next season.

Huntelaar really needs to get out of Holland. It's not letting him develop any further. Hopefully someone will snatch him up this summer if he has a good EURO tournament.

Djibril Cisse (Marseille) and Mark Gonzalez (Real Betis). Both were at Liverpool but leave because there were already enough "stars".
Fred (Lyon);he will probably show more when Benzema leave (although he already showed he's good)
And John Obi Mikel.Manchester United and Chelsea fought for him and now he's in Chelsea, sitting on bench...

the fool should have retired while he was number one. like zidane
Title: Re: Forgoten players
Post by: A10s on Apr 15, 2008, 04:13: AM
the player that deserves so much more atention than he got and is now nothing more than a memory for some and nothing for others is "Carlos Valderrama" the best colombian footballer ever, and also, IMO one of the best goalkeepers of all time, "Rene Higuita" is also a forgotten legend, i actually kicked a few penaltys at him during the training of the team his in, cuz hes playing in a venezuelan team that trains close to where i live.

The scorpion kick was done for the first time by Colombian goalkeeper Rene Huguita in a match against England, it was the 36th minute of the FH and Alan Shearer kicked the ball from 25 mts out and Rene got nerves of steel and performed the scorpion to clear the ball out of the area, the scorpion is said to be the most dificult football acrobatic skill, overpassing the overhead kick and the szizor shot, very few players have done a scorpion in a match.
