15. The Eclipse
First, bring your right foot up as if you were about to do a right inside stall. The moment the footbag touches your foot, hop off of your left foot, keeping your right foot up with the footbag stalled on it. Jump over your right foot. The second before your left foot touches the ground, flip up your right foot and release the footbag. All you have to do now is to keep kicking or catch it (if you really want to). Small tip: Keep your right foot low as you hop over it, this helps a lot.

My advice is to first practice the inside stall:

And this trick (which is almost like an eclipse, but you hold the ball with you hand while you jump over):

one question, is it better to do eclipse with the weak or strong foot?

Whichever foot you feel more comfortable doing it with.

Pretty overrated if you ask me. I learnt it in like half an hour with Christiaan and Jorgen. I think it's best to watch your attempts on a camera, because they could both tell me whether I wasn't timing I jump right or something.

This forum is mostly ruled by freestylers who focus on combos.. and atw/htw are fundamental, so every freestyler will have learnt them long ago.  I know of no freestyler who learnt eclipse before either or them.
