If you haven't heard: Chelsea has been banned from signing players for two transfer windows by FIFA on Thursday. The shock punishment relates to the club's capture of young midfielder Gael Kakuta from French club Lens in 2007.
No transfers until January, 2011.
Thoughts?

this is funny; they are banned from transfers because of a player that will probably not even feature much.
-
Well thats sorta what they should deserve if they break the transfer laws.
They shouldnt have pursued him like they did and they thought because they were rich ad a Top 4 club they'd get away with it
There bad.

lol
nice punishment, it will be though for chelsea, i mean if they do shit this season, they cant shuffle things around.

i mean, really, there isn't anything more to say than that. although, i would be surprised if they aren't able to overturn this

In 2011, the average age of the Chelsea squad will be 31. Everyone will be in their prime for Ancelloti at that time. ;)

I believe if you break the rules, no matter what, you should get punished. This is no exception. I'm sure they'll try and appeal it.
Ironic though, you look at how many players they've bought in the past few years. It was a sign to buy as many as you can because you wont be able to get anymore for 2 more years
On the plus side, it'll give the younger guys a chance to play if no one else comes in to full up spots.
-
Chelsea don't need anymore players, I'm sick of the shuffling. :hello:
-
now they said there is a loophole
if Chelsea appeal and the appeal takes a while to process they could ask for a pause in the ban which means the January transfer Window is open to them
-
Apparently Roma received a similar ban and got it reduced from 2 windows to just one
-
im a united fan but i tink the ban could b good for chelsea as they would have consistency
-
Is that true? haha

I read in a newspaper earlier that Chlsea have spent £62M on youth players over the past few seasons and have failed to get 1 first team regular. I dont know how many of them they still have so i shouldnt imagine that it would be a problem for them if any of them develope into good players.

This is bullshit.
