Title: amatw-amatw nt help
Post by: DJK on Aug 28, 2009, 09:43: AM
hello i have been freestyling for almost 1 year now. i can do amatw with both feet and i am left footed. i have heard that one should start with the weak foot but for me i start with my left. does anyone have any tips to do it. i have come close several times but on the crossover part on my second amatw the ball doesnt go up into the air after it hits my toe, plus sometimes my toe is pointed downwards dont know why... :shoot:

i have started with my weak foot .... when i was able to do 3 amatw nt (starting with my weak) i decided that it was time to try with my strong one .... my advice is to start with the weak foot for all NT

i prefer 2 go weak 2 strong
when i attempt it stronng 2 weak my legs just dont work that way
weak 2 strong is easier

From weak to strong is easier, but from strong to weak is much more useful!

sure you can.... there are no friends or chicks in your life you could spend time on.

but i agree with you in this topic. weak 2 strong is easier but strong to weak is much more useful. wish i would have concentrated on that earlier.

i suck at these but you really need to pause before starting the second amatw. if you just allow your leg to swing around like your doing just a nt atw after the matw, you will never get it. you must pause and actually power your leg that is going around it in the air like you would normally do.

you cant just attack the ball with your leg you actually have to think mentally of doing an amatw

pausing is the best wayfor a split second when your leg is down at the bottom and then really do an amatw. instaad of a no touch htw  then cross.

thats how i do.
