This thread is not intended as going for ever
but have you guys began to be interested in the Brazilian league, ever since adriano and ronaldo came it seems interesting, the play is amazing, the skills are mind boggiling and it looks very competative. i honestly suggest you guys watch a few matches

I have never really been interested in it, so I wont pretend I have knowledge of it, but who are the teams to look out for?
-
best teams atm are Gremio, Internacional and Sao Paulo... The format is totally fucked, and corruption is rife... Players are continually changing clubs every month and managers get sacked extremely frequently... the play is good, yes, but any physical contact of any type warrants a guaranteed free-kick

here's the current standings. i agree with most of what dan said about the league. this league is extremely competitive, and you could see some extreme changes in the standings throughout the season. 2 teams to watch at the moment for me are the fierce rivals palmeiras and corinthians. palmeiras are currently first and are typically a very strong team. corinthians, who ronaldo plays for, is the current champions of the paulista(state championship for sao paulo) and the copa do brasil. corinthians is currently 11th, but they could be back in title contention by the end of the season. this position has somewhat been caused by the team favoring the copa do brasil over the league causing them to slip up a few times. there are other interesting things that could like the effect the copa sudamericana will have on the standings. its likely that the teams involved in the tournament may fall in the standings if they feel they have a chance to win it. i feel there's all to play for for many teams in league. its definitely like england where only 4 teams can win.

i'm expecting corinthians to be in the top 4 sooner or later, i'm shocked cruzerio are down there and flamengo will be top now that adriano scores like every game.
