Title: Mac - ATW Tutorial
Post by: BigMac on Jul 30, 2009, 04:16: AM
I am pretty sure most of you here can do Atw so don't worry I am not trying to offend you.

I have made a youtube channel just for tutorials to help beginners learn freestyle and get a good idea about the tricks.

If you could watch and comment and tell me how you thought it was and how I could improve on the next tutorials I would be grateful.

Cheers

Very well done, maybe it was a little bit too long, I think 3-4 minutes would be perfect. You could/should cut out some parts where you get on  your knees (not all, when you explain it and then show it, then not) or when you stand up. Also a very little detail: At the beginning the "learn 2 freestyle" was nice, but then I personally would do "ATW" and "Around the World" together; you save time and it looks better. :-*
Finally, either put your iPhone ear-phones in your ear, or let them completely away, I hated them hanging out there during the whole video. ;)
The rest was good so I don't need to mention what was good because you don't need to change. (in my opinion)
Note that I only want to try to tell you what I would do differently, to improve your next videos, because I like the idea. Most of the other tutorials only show the trick, but no explanation. So keep it up Macca!

Which trick are you going to do next? Htw? Tb? Crossover? ...?

Thanks Sven!

I will take your advice for the future tutorials. The next one is crossover!

instead of having try learning from a footstall near the end

The begining has some of the most professional camera work I've ever seen. How much did you pay that guy? I think it would be worth at least a couple of hundred pounds!

Anyway, good luck with this and can't wait to help you more, if you allow me to

I think you left out the part about the "big/small toe" principle.
But this is the first tutorial, and this can only get better and better!  :rockit: :rockit:
Can't wait to see more!

You said nithing about how to do ATW except 'left the ball to the knee height'
really, typical tutorial as all others in internet, just it goes more time...
'practice, practice, practice' = 10 minutes if you explain all details properly.

well atw is pretty simple. I dont think it needs a ten minute tutorial.

I say it needs 10 minute time to be learnt it by someone, if you explain it for 2-3 minutes but properly, you didn't say any details at all

he would have given a schedule:

first day: atw

first week: 10 trick combo with crosses

first month: 30 trick combo without cross plus tatw amatw nt

after 6 month: 6 amatw nt
after 7 month: 7 amatw
after 8 month: 8 amatw
.
.
.
.
homework for life: watch at least 20 skora vids per day and pray 3 times a day to him.

and IF YOU REALLY WANT TO you can practise some sits and uppers but these party are way easier than lower so they are unimportant.... after 1 month you should be able to beat abdullah in a street battle anyways.

I you cant follow this schedule you should stay away from freestyle.
