Let's just say Ribery is running things in Germany. We are very blessed to have him in our league, rather then the Premiership where most of the stars nowadays go. He just won the French Footballer of the Year award as well.

Bayern now needs to find one more creative player like him. Ribery is usually the only one creating anything. Good teams will find a way to shut him down and beat us. If we can find one more gem like him, we'll be set for years to come.

toni, klose duo is enough to get me stiff, great to see a great player who dominated serie a doing the same in the bundesliga especially after scoring 4 goals in the UEFA cup a few days ago :rockit: just goes to show serie a's talent is not as poor as many make it out to be. my brother was telling me that a club was trying to buy van der vaart but cant remember who. 10 goals for an attack mid is amazing a shame there will be no bundesliga for a while due to the winter break. just as i realised the TV show i had been watching for years which shows highlights from spain, germany and italy was back on so i have missed most of the bundesliga matches.

Klinsmann will become Bayern's coach after Hitzfeld leaves this summer.

Good pick-up by us. I'm glad Klinsi is deciding to coach again. I'm just glad we didn't get Van Basten. Mourinho would have been my ideal choice but that's a bit out of reach. I hope Klinsmann can prove him self as a long-term club coach.

Never looked into this thread they dont really cover German football down here.

I personally picked Mourinho to take over at Bayern there was a few rumors flying around. It looks like they are going with Klinsman he did good things with Germany last summer hes also German so might be the safest option. I can't wait to see you guys in the Champions League next season you've got a talented side.
Title: Re: German Bundesliga
Post by: Adi on Jan 29, 2008, 04:17: PM
Mourinho would have been my choice as well. The rumor was that he was taking some German classes. Sure got me excited but I'm not sure how much truth was behind that.

Klinsmann is a good second choice considering we were strongly linked with Van Basten. Thank God we didn't get him. I don't care if he's coaching Holland, he's still Dutch and has not been successful with Holland.
Title: Re: German Bundesliga
Post by: cigar omar on Jan 29, 2008, 04:19: PM
I can't stand Van Basten either when he was rumored to be joining Chelsea I was upset. The way he is Running Holland is poor, at least hes finally come to his senses and called back Seedorf.
Title: Re: German Bundesliga
Post by: Adi on Jan 29, 2008, 04:21: PM
The one thing I couldn't stand about him was his ignorance towards players. Part of his failure was keeping some of his best players at home because of personal reasons that he himself created.

Bayern 1:1 Bremen

It was the big match of the weekend. Bayern should have won. Toni missed a penalty and there were quite a few other good chances that we should've finished. Oh well, we're still 3 points ahead of Bremen.

Liverpool F.C.

League Champions: 18 (compared to 16)
UEFA Champions League: 5 (compared to 2)

Wait, who won it the most? Who is the most successful team in English football?
Title: Re: German Bundesliga

English Football, meaning, not the Champion's League.

We have 11 FA Cup wins, they have 7.

;)
Title: Re: German Bundesliga
Post by: ^_^ on Feb 24, 2008, 07:06: AM
League Titles (obviously most important); Liverpool has more.
League Cup; Liverpool has more
FA Cup (which now a days United fans seem to think is the most important thing ever); United has more. Don't be jealous because Liverpool is the most successful team to come out of England in it's history :o
Title: Re: German Bundesliga

Liverpool.. who are they? When was the last time they won the Premier League?

You're tough mate.
Title: Re: German Bundesliga
Post by: ^_^ on Feb 24, 2008, 07:09: AM
17 years ago. Which is funny, because in all of that time United still couldn't win more. We are polluting this thread with English shit. Via the statistics, we conclude that Liverpool is the most successful English team in history.
Title: Re: German Bundesliga

Title: Re: German Bundesliga
Post by: ^_^ on Feb 24, 2008, 07:18: AM
You are obviously having a rough time accepting the facts. The FA Cup is not as valued as the actual league. So since Liverpool has more than United, with a 17 year drought as embarrassing as it is, they are historically the most successful English side. There is not much more to it. It's simple math. 18 is greater than 16 last time I checked.

But then again, what the fuck do I know.

Bayern lost 2-0 to a team that's battling relegation. And we lost to Anderlech 2-1 midweek. We are still through to the next round of the UEFA Cup and we're still sitting five points clear of 2nd place in Germany.

We gotta win this weekend though or the pressure might get to the team.

Lucio claims he would like to consider a move to England, Spain or Italy.

Bayern went down 1-0 today, but came back with 10 men to win 3-1.

We are now 9 points ahead of second place Schalke. All the teams below us keep beating each other up continuing to help us sit comfortably in first.

Van Bommel got yet another red card. The guy is nuts. Someone needs to sort him out.

And Lucio was pointing to the Bayern badge while celebrating after scoring his goal. Makes me feel better about those rumours I've been hearing that he wants to move on to Italy or Spain.

Post by: Adi on Apr 23, 2008, 01:17: PM
I don't know about way less. Remember last season? We finished a pathetic 4th place.

We are taking the right steps in building out team. With so many new players this season we needed the time to gel. Maybe stepping out of the Champions League was good for the team and its confidence.

Next season, we'll hopefully pick up another one or two players and make a good run at the Champions League.
Title: Re: German Bundesliga
Post by: TheGodEmperor on Apr 23, 2008, 01:19: PM
I see. From what I've seen, Bayern have dug themselves into a hole. They'll need to gel ALOT to climb out.
Title: Re: German Bundesliga
Post by: Adi on Apr 23, 2008, 01:21: PM
I think they have already gelled. They just need another player or two to be considered on of the top 5 teams in Europe again. I think we'll make it to the quarter-finals of the Champions League next season. From there we'll need a bit of luck as does any other team really.

adi, warum seit ihr ausgewandert?
