Im travelling by a plane on Sunday
I wanna take my championsleague matchball with me
I heard that balls on planes explode from pressure
I just wanted to know if thats true
Thnx..
-
i'm not 100% sure what the restrictions are.. though i brought my europass match ball with me
i'd advise you:
1. deflate it
2. bring a pump
3. put it in your suitcase
don't deflate it too much though, because when i took it out and pumped it.. it had all these creases and stuff on it but after like a week they are nearly invisible
i wouldn't risk losing a match ball.. because at security checks and stuff at airports you can't even take drinks with you..
-
deflate the ball via needle :hello:

But in the amesterdam meet part 1 vid..
Chia was doing heel juggles in the airport, did he 'daflate' it too ?
-
Deflate the ball, then pump it up when the flight is over. That's it.
Where are you going anyway?
-
lol on the plane to rome dan magness had his ball pumped up almost full and mid flight it was literally like a rock but didnt burst
deflate ur ball a bit but not fully
-
Chia just brought his ball as normal on the plane, no problemos!
-
I also brought my ball by plane recently and there was no problems at all.
-
Is the duration of the trip important ?
If so,mine is 2.5-3 hours i guess
If i couldnt buy a pump,i'll just take it as it is :dontknow:
-
You don't need to deflate it.. I think the ball is strong enough to not explode. Maybe it should not be the hardest possible when you take it on plan, but normally there should not happen anything.
-
deflate it.

deflate it.
I think we've got your point =P
-
Obviously not as you are still asking questions.
-
planes are pressurized so its not as intense of pressure
-
You don't need to deflate it, but the people at the airport might not let you bring it.
-
they should make a sequel with Samuel L Jackson playing an anti-freestyle airport officer...
Balls on a plane
-
deflate it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! its policy with most airlines
-
Im gonna go today buy a pump so i can re-pump it after i deflate it
Thnx guys,lock topic..
-
due to the pressure the ball will only inflate a very small amont so just deinflate it a tiny bit.
-
Okay, here is what i got from you guys
1.Buy a pump
2.Deflate the ball
3.Put the pump in my bag
4.When the flight is over,i pump the ball..
Thnx..
-
balshi why can't u just buy a pump man
-
Yes it can if you fly...
But if you take the air out of it , it doesn't explode O0
-
I had 2 balls with me when i were in Amsterdam, nothing happened. They were hard like a rock
-
the ball wont explode for the same reason u dont!
the cabin is pressurised
the ball my become a bit hard but it wont explode
when i was in england i had no troubles but when i was in barcelona airport they took it off me :(
luckily it was a replica so it was ok that i lost it

Nah man.Either put it in your checked in bag or but it in the carry on bag.Dont carry it in you hand or they might take it(happened to me in Spain) or might deflate it which happened to me when i flew to cairns last week!

Balls on a plane
haha
I've have had it with these motherfking balls on this motherfking plane
-
I've traveled by plane with a normally inflated ball multiple times. Just leave it in your carry on bag, inflated as normal and nothing will happen.
I've done it 5-6 times and when I just leave it in the bag, they never say anything when it goes through screening and nothing is different with the ball after you land
-
Don't take the ball with you
-
i dont know alot about this
but my friend just left his match ball at home
and got a replica for his hols
:dontknow:
-
omg why is this a topic with 3 pages!
just bring the fucking ball on a plane its no problem
-
Yeah,Dan's right
I just fuckin deflated it and the flight is after 3 hours..
Lock topic,sheesh..
-
Hehe Dan is right indeed, I am back from holiday for one day and had my ball in my handbagage..
That wasn't a problem ;)
-
Put it in hand lugage, the cabin where you sit is the same pressurized so nothing will happen to it.
-
no don't take it it will explode and you will be lost on island
-
the aiport officers wont let you go if they notice that you have a ball and will tell you to deflate the ball...
the reason is that you may have some dangerous gases inside the ball ( if you are a terrorist *), thats why they ask you to deflate the ball....
i asked to an officer like 2 years ago :)
