anime is just a word for japanese animation. they're all cartoons, anime and other kinds of cartoons alike.

Totally DBZ for me. It's the only one I actually watched (the others I simply read the manga, never had the chance to watch the actually anime). Loved it.

DBZ and pokemon in the beginning.
Captain Tsubasa was epic! (Drive shooter ftw :grin:)
Naruto and Bleach are totally amazing. But loads of episodes to watch. Depends on the the patience of the person watching. But it's worth it.
I love Fullmetal Alchemist!!
Recently I saw Kekkaishi, it's nothing special, but still liked it.

has anyone watched fairy tail? I asked on an anime site for a show similar to one piece and they said fairy tail is like it. is anyone familiar with it?
