Towards the end of Marlon Brando's career, who at one point was considered the greatest actor to ever learn and act out a script, his weird and demanding habits were getting more and more extreme. He requested that he no longer be filmed unless it was from the waist up. As crazy as that may sound directors and producers moved at his every command and made it happen. Eventually Brando started to show up to film sets with no pants on, knowing that he would only be filmed from the waist up. And still producers and others merely shrugged and went along with him.

It was reported that today, yet again, Ronaldinho missed a Barcelona training session; again because of his mysterious muscle problems. You see, Ronaldinho has become some sort of Marlon Brando. Upon arriving to Barcelona he became the closest thing to the great Johann Cruyff; he was a demi-god to the Blaugrana loyals who saw him as a second coming. He led the team to one of its most glorious stretches, but now things are very different.

Dihno (as he is know by many Barcelona faithful) has now begun to impose not only which training sessions he partakes in but also when and where it hurts. Just like Brando used to show up to the set, Ronaldinho appears to show up when and how he wants to the training ground and pitch. He produces some of his magic with his feet when and where he chooses and now it seems he makes up his own injuries. And like in Brando's case the people in charge move at his every command, and agree that he is right and everybody else must be wrong.

A sad day for world football as another star appears to fade.
